Medotex Gonorrhea Antigen Rapid Test is a lateral flow immunoassay designed for qualitative detection of Gonorrhea (Neisseria gonorrhoeae) antigen from female cervical and male urethral swab specimens.

 Delivering results in 10 minutes, it enables healthcare professionals to quickly identify gonorrhea infections – a common sexually transmitted infection – supporting timely treatment, reducing transmission, and preventing complications (e.g., pelvic inflammatory disease, infertility).

Can this test be used for asymptomatic patients?

Yes – it can be used for both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients as part of STI screening, but results should be confirmed with additional testing if clinically indicated.

What if the test line is faint?

 Any visible shade of color in the Test line (T) indicates a positive result, as intensity varies with antigen concentration.

Can this test be used for asymptomatic patients?

How should specimens be stored if testing is delayed?

Swabs can be stored at room temperature (15-30°C) for 4-6 hours or refrigerated (2-8°C) for 24 hours. Do not freeze, and bring to room temperature before testing.
