What does a positive HAV IgM result indicate?

Positive result confirms the presence of HAV IgM antibodies, indicating an acute or recent HAV infection (typically within the past 6 months).

Can this test be used to confirm HAV immunity?

No – this test only detects IgM (acute infection). For immunity screening, use an HAV IgG-specific or combo test.

What is the difference between HAV IgG and IgM detection?

 IgG indicates past exposure or immunity (from infection or vaccination), while IgM indicates acute or recent HAV infection.

How should frozen specimens be handled?

Thaw completely, mix well, and bring to room temperature before testing. Do not freeze and thaw repeatedly.

Is there a shelf life for opened buffer?
